Daddy

Ghia... Ghia....
Cuma... nanti ya diposting sebagian-sebagian... maklum deh (dengan beribu alasan he he he).

Jumper Hijau - Gigi

Kalo Ghia ngegigit, sama bundanya dipencet hidungnya tuh ha ha ha...
(klise ya .. tapi itulah sepertinya harapan ortu pada umumnya ... and indeed, it is true).
Oce .. see you next time.

Nasehat dari seorang teman di Rotary

Dear all,

That's all, moga bermanfaat .... ;-D

1 Menit saja

Dear All,

Miris ning ati nih (you may read the following reflection - from the neighbour mailing list):

SEMENIT SAJA

Betapa lamanya melayani Allah SWT selama lima belas menit namun
betapa singkatnya kalau kita melihat film.

Betapa mudahnya membuat 40 tahun dosa demi memuaskan nafsu birahi semata, namun alangkah sulitnya ketika menahan nafsu selama beberapa hari ketika berpuasa ..

Hope it'll useful.

Yoghurt

Last night was the first time for Ghia to eat yoghurt as his additional food. In Australia, you can find easily at Supermarket yoghurt for babies/infants start their 6 months of age. So we gave him yoghurt and was just wondering whether he would be like it or not. Fortunately, he enjoyed eating his yoghurt. Successfully, he could finish his first cup of yoghurt easily. You can look at those photos above how enjoy he was.

Just for your information, the nurse in health and community center also suggested to give him yoghurt, because yoghurt is a kind of good diet for babies. it contents high calcium.

That's all for today,
Cheers,

Takut gagal?

Setiap orang melakoni jalan hidupnya masing-masing …. Sesuai dengan keinginannya. Keinginannya? Ya betul, keinginannya. Ada guideline yang orang biasa rujuk untuk hidup yaitu: Al Quran + Al Hadist (sorry, that’s because I am a muslim), tapi untuk sampai ke every details in seconds … you shall be creative on it. But that’s life.

Very short, isn’t it?

Maksud loh apa seh …?
I hope my life will be not like that)-
- dan seterusnya … dan seterusnya ….

So, jadi ‘ngeri’ ya … karena hidup ini sangat singkat, ga tau deh .. Cuma aja I’ll try to be wise with my (our) life and .. keep being optimistic with the life

This advice is just for myself.

Many thanks

Babab

Living in Albury, NSW, Australia

Many of my friends asked me why I never updated my blog anymore. A good question indeed and I just realised that updating my blog is very important. Because it likes bringing up to date my journal day by day and will aware other person (and also give a respect) for them who has a chance to visit my blog.

I live in Albury right now with my family (anyone who wants to know more about Albury city in New South Wales Australia please visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albury%2C_New_South_Wales). I came earlier (on August 2007), Mia and Ghia came a few months afterward (in late of October 2007). We rent a small house in East Albury precisely in 291 Downside Street, East Albury, NSW 2640. Actually it is a good choice to live, especially for the new comer like us. The downtown is not too far from the house, only need around 15 minutes on foot, crossing the bridge up to the freeway. We have good neighbours. Gill and Robert on the right and Grandma (we don’t know her name) – living alone – in the left. We have another good neighbours in ample forth street, their name are Jo and Dai. They are a young couple and we have a real good relationship indeed.

Mia and Ghia, I think, can adapt with the Australian (specifically Albury) condition. Ghia shows a good growing. His nurse, Caleen, said that when we bring him to her regularly (usually once in a month). She said that it is good for Ghia because he can have what he need for growing: breast milk, formula milk, solid food (he is 7 months right now and he started eating solid food since he was 5 – 6 months of age).

Mia and Ghia also join the Mum and children playgroup at West Albury Community Centre once a week. They can meet with new mums and other children on the same age. We usually come there every Thursdays from 10 – 12 noon. The important thing is they look enjoy with the activities in there.

Ghia has started crawling but still shows his anxiety when he starts crawling. However, for us, he is a good baby. He looks strong enough and he is a hilarious baby. Of course he will cry when he is hungry or sleepy or need attention from us but it is normal I suppose.

So far everything is alright.

New performance of my blog

It seems my blog has other performance. Actually I don't want to add another story to my blog. The last edition was to show or to announce about the birth of my first son, Ghia. I wanted to stop until that part of the whole story. I didn't want to change his beautiful picture with another pictures. However I realized that live is still going on and the 'dynamics' is the key word how my blog has to be continued with another story. So, I changed my mind, I promise myself to renew my blog more often. You will be the witnesses how it goes. Perhaps the changing that will happen only the main stream of the blog. I think most of them is talking about Ghia. Please don't get bored to read about him.
see you and thank you to become my place of sharing.
best regards,
Babab

Xa Lie, Muslim from China

I met her in the bus (Greyhound coach) when I had traveling from Canberra to Albury on Monday, 9 April 2007. She is Chinese from Hui ethnic group (sorry, I don’t know how to spell it correctly), and she traveled alone. What make me surprise that she is Muslim. Yes, she is Muslim. I rarely meet Muslim from China, ups yes… I met one man during the youth camp in Jervis Bay; he studies at ANU, but he grown up here, in Australia. Xa Lie is doing research at University of Melbourne, one year research. She is a medical doctor, specialization in eyes.

We were talking many subjects. One of it is about food in Australia. As a Muslim, we find the same difficulties, finding the ‘no pork’ food in our diet. It is easy to differ between pork and other meat such as chicken, beef and lamb, we just read the label. However, many Muslims always raise question such as is it slaughtered in the name of Allah? Is it slaughtered in a good manner? When it is being slaughtered, it is not mix with pig? And so on. Furthermore, emulsifiers (sort of thing that mix in the food as one of the ingredients) make us confused. For example, some people said that emulsifier 471 is made from vegetables, but some people said that it is made from animal fat, so it is haram as well. What was Xa Lie’s opinion on aforementioned confusion, she said that there is a Chinese proverb; it says that if you do not see, it means that it is clean. In addition, she said that as long as no pork in our diet, it is acceptable. In my opinion, I will agree with her opinion. What do you think?

Indang Dance and Poco-poco at Univ of Canberra

Canberra, 4 April 2007

Dear all,

Assalamualaikum wr. wb.,

Weleh .. seumur-umur belon pernah nari .. sekali nari kok di
umur-umur segini .. tapi .. fun juga sih .. dimana ayo narinya ...
jauh lho .. di University of Canberra, 21 Maret 2007. For you,

here is the story (walau terlambat, ga apa-apa yo):

21 March 2007 is the Harmony Day, the United Nations Day to
celebrate/commemorate the end of racisme in the world.
For that moment, as the member of UC clubs, University of
Canberra Indonesian Student Society (UCISS) took a part
actively. We performed two dances and one song. Indang Dance

(form West Sumatera), Poco-poco dance (from Sulawesi Island)
and Yamko Rambe Yamko (Song from Papua Province).
Amazingly, nobody is a real dancer, and we have only a courage to
do it (Nike said: 'just do it'). We had been practising just for
around 2,5 weeks, three days per week. Ismail (student - master
program from Aceh) taught Indang dance and myself taught Poco
Poco dance (I only learnt poco-poco in the office, in Makassar).
Surprisingly, our performance was very successful. We received
many compliments. Many people said that our performance was
the highlight of the Harmony Day 2007, and Leonie (Director of
UC Harmony) added that our best achievement was we could
ask the UC Vice Chancellor (Rektornya) to up and dancing
together with the dancers and all audiences. This event was also

attended by the Representative of UN in Australia and Indonesian
Education and Culture Atache. We could not draw how happy we

were. We did it! Yes!!!
We've got two certificate of appreciation, one from UC and one from Embassy of RI.
Now we are very optimistic, we are ready to participate on other
similar events (wah .. nantang nih ye ...). Do you believe that we have received the invitation again from the university to perform in May and September ... We have discussed and we are agree to perform another dance from all over Indonesia (gaya euy, siapa yang nglatih ya .. he .. he ....), and the next dance should be Saman dance, from Aceh. Ups ... I forgot to tell you that the theme of the Harmony Day 2007 is 'bringing the world together' and .. our performance was parralled with the theme and our philosophy: unity in diversity (Bhinneka Tunggal Ika) ...
See you guys,
wassalam,
Bababna Ghia
